KAJIMA INSTITUTE of INTERNATIONAL PEACE

HISTORY

The Kajima Institute of International Peace was founded in July 1966 through the endowment of the late Dr. Morinossuké Kajima, a member of the House of Councillors and the Chairman of the Kajima Corporation, for the purpose of promoting research and study on issues of international peace. (On July 1, 1966, the Minister of Foreign Affairs designated the Institute as a non-profit organization.)

From its inception, the Institute has attempted, on the initiative of the founder, to design the Institute as a forum for experienced public figures in politics, civil service and the business world, by providing them with opportunities to exchange views on important issues of international concern.

On March 19、2012, the Kajima Institute of International Peace was designated by the prime minister as a general incorporated foundation under the laws related to the reform of public interest corporations laws, and the transfer register became effective

April, 1, 2012.
